Since there will be a new player draft in late July...we need to discuss how the picks will be organized

We will also be bringing in 2 expansion teams. I'll list some choices:

A. random.org between two expansion teams. Winner gets 1st overall pick, loser gets 2nd overall.

B. Worst team in the league gets first overall pick. random.org for two expansion teams.

C. Non-playoff teams get 1st and 2nd overall based on lowest amount of points. random.org for two expansion teams.

D1. Draft lottery for worst team in the league, 2 expansion teams (non-weighted).

D2. Draft lottery for worst team in the league, 2 expansion teams (weighted).

E1. Draft lottery for two non-playoff teams, 2 expansion teams (non-weighted).

E2. Draft lottery for two non-playoff teams, 2 expansion teams (weighted).

Expansion teams should get two expansion picks imo.  The existing teams get to declare several "protected" keepers that cannot be stolen by the expansion teams.  After the expansion rounds, the teams with the lowest records should get the higher picks in each round, and the expansion teams should get the last pick in each round.

The expansion draft will happen before the first season player draft. Each existing team gets to keep themselves (the owner) and 3 other picks. The rest of those players are up for grabs and any player that is drafted stays on the expansion team for at least a season.

ok, that's roughly what i had in mind.

I'm chiming in super late here, but this is a great method.
