This is the final draft for Season 1.

I. Basic Rules

i. Each game shall be twenty minutes, separated into two 10 minute halves.
a. If the game is tied, the game shall go into sudden death overtime.
i. An overtime is defined as a 10 minute overtime period.
b. If a game is tied after overtime, the game shall be deemed a tie. Both teams will receive 1 point.
c. If a playoff game is tied after overtime, there shall be another overtime period. This sequence shall repeat ad infinitum until a team scores.

ii. Winning a game earns 3 points. An overtime win earns 2 points. A tie earns 1 point. A loss in overtime also earns 1 point.

iii. There will be 6 games in the first season, each team will face each other twice.

iv. The top two teams will face each other in a best of three championship series the week after the regular season ends.

v. Game times for each week will be negotiated between team owners. This will be the de facto format unless any problems are encountered.

vi. If two teams are tied for second place or if there is any tie greater than 2, placement will be differentiated first by wins then by a Scores For/Against differential.

vii. If your team is down by four or more scores after the first half, you have the right to surrender the rest of the match.
a. This same rule applies if you find your team short on players during a match.

viii. You must field three players minimum to start a match.

ix. Substitutions are completely legal game tactics. However there are some restrictions:
a. If a player is substituted, he/she cannot return the game for thirty seconds.
b. Any substitution that is undertaken must involve players on a team's roster.

x. You must provide evidence that a game was finished successfully by posting a final picture of the first and second half of the match.
a. You must also provide a post-match picture of overtime if applicable.

xi. The home team has the right to choose the map for the game it is hosting.

II. Match Rules

i. A match must commence between Sunday 12:00 AM and Saturday 11:59 PM in the week specified. If both teams do not show up for a match, no teams earn any points.

ii. If a team shows significant evidence that its opposing team is not willing or able to schedule a match during the week they are supposed to play they will receive 3 points for the match.
a. The game will also count as a 3-0 victory.

iii. If a room owner is unable to host a game for a set match time between two teams for extraordinary circumstances and the two teams show evidence of being able to play during said match time with no other substitute time in the week, the game will be postponed and can be played at any time throughout the regular season.

iv. Any evidence of in-game cheating from a team will warrant a point deduction.

v. If two teams start a game and fail to complete it, each team will earn 1 point.
a. This rule is null and void if a team forfeits its match.

vi. If a match is postponed due to lag, the game will resume at the rounded-up time of suspension.
a. In this case, the time of suspension is defined as the estimated time left in the game when the hosting room lag has caused the game to crash.
1. Example: Time of suspension = 8:26. Restart time = 9:00.
b. The game score is maintained from the postponed game.
c. If possible, the stats are to be preserved.
d. If both owners agree that a game becomes unplayable due to lag, they can negotiate to move the time back to a later date, same rules apply (2.6A-2.6C).

vii. A map-choosing team must select a map from the approved list.
a. The current approved list of maps is: "Koalabeast", "Colors", "Vee" and "Holy See".

viii. A game that is designated at a map MUST stay at that map for the second half and overtime too if needed.

ix. During league matches, a player must play with his name OR an alias that is similar to his name.

III. League Rules

i. The maximum number of players a team can have on its roster is ten. The minimum amount is four.

ii. A team has the right to release a player before the season starts or if the player is deemed inactive without excuse for 2 weeks.

iii. A team owner has the right to use players and draft picks as legal trading tender. No trading of real life items (including money) is allowed.

iv. A team may sign players who have registered with the league.
a. If a team signs a player after the final week of the regular season has passed, he/she cannot play in any playoff match.

v. Any player that is on a team has the right to leave in between seasons.
a. In order to keep a player on his roster after a season, an owner must provide evidence of the aforementioned player committing to the owner's team for another season with the owner's consent.

vi. If a team finds a possible way to kick a player on the opposing team without evidence-backed reason the aforementioned team will be disciplined by the commissioner.

vii. A player caught using a fake alias to circumnavigate any form of draft or mask one's reputation shall receive an indefinite ban from the league.
a. Any owner who knowingly collaborates with this act will be indefinitely removed too.

IV. Miscellaneous Rules

i. Any act of behavior by a player or owner that is destructive may warrant a punishment from the commissioner.

ii. Any breaking of a rule that is required to be followed can warrant team or player punishment.

iii. A team must pick a player under an approved draft list in any draft or else the pick is forfeited.

Why isn't Star on the approved list of maps? In my opinion, it's a much better map than both Holy See and Colors.

I'm with you on that one. Glory Hole would get my vote as well. Not to say that the two newer ones are bad, I just don't know how they got precedent over the more tried and true forerunners.
